2010 Elections in Michigan

According to Michigan's election consolidation law (great summary from Thomas Township website), there are four dates upon which elections can be held in 2010.
- January 25, 2010: Last day to register for February 23, 2010 Election
- April 5, 2010: Last day to register for May 4, 2010 Election
- July 6, 2010: Last day to register for August 3, 2010 Election
- October 4, 2010: Last day to register for November 2, 2010 Election

The February date is typically used for special elections by municipalities or school districts on property tax and millage questions. The May date is used by a large number of school district for board elections and by other bodies for millage issues. The August date is the party primary and can be used for special questions. Finally, the November date is is the General election, where the largest number of issues and all statewide offices will be decided.
